Sunday School - Children & Youth
Growing up Christian and helping our kids gain a strong Christian foundation is of primary importance to us. We offer a variety of Christian Education paths for our kids and teenagers.
Nursery
We offer loving, nurturing care to our youngest children, newborn through 4 years, on Sunday mornings during worship. Soft music, attentive care givers that play and read Bible stories the children. A pager system is available so that parents can be reached if they are needed. Adults can focus on their own worship while qualified attendants care for their children.
Really Cool Sunday School
We use a rotational model Sunday School. The children spend four (4) weeks on each Bible lesson, one Sunday in each of the following stations: Holy Ghost Stories (Bible study), Pray per View (video stories), Art Ark (arts and crafts) and Thou Art Drama (music and drama). The children enjoy the changing schedule and the time spent on each lesson makes a lasting impression on the hearts of the children. Children from pre-school through 5th grade meet on Sundays from 9:45 – 10:45 am.
Vacation Bible School
In the sumer of 2007 we created Avalanch Ranch "a wild ride through God's word." Traditionally held the 1st week in June.
Confirmation
In the spring of each year, confirmation class is held for 7th grade and above. Led by a pastor, the seven classes focus on the Bible, the church and its history, MCPC's history, the sacraments, and the beliefs of those youth seeking to become members of the church. We also examine other world religions to explore more fully the unique sacrifice of Christs death and ressurection. We conclude our confirmation classes with a service on Mission Plunge.
